Over the decades, we’ve earned the confidence of fishing vessel operators throughout the lower South Island, along with some of New Zealand’s most iconic tourist vessels operating in Fiordland and the Queenstown Lakes District. Our specialist marine services include installation, maintenance, repairs, driveline overhauls, and vessel repowering. On top of that, we provide comprehensive boat-building services from initial design through to final completion.

In 2019, Gough Brothers Engineering began a new chapter under the ownership of Nick & Trina Morris. Nick is an engineering expert with local roots. He brought extensive general engineering expertise to the business, strengthening Gough Brothers capabilities across machine shop operations, structural steel fabrication, and heavy industry projects. Nick & Trina’s hands-on experience come from tackling challenges in sawmills, dairy factories, freezing works, and the demanding environment of the Tiwai Point aluminium smelter.
